The new headquarters of the State Music School No. The new headquarters of the State Music School No. 1, designed by Konior Studio. The architects created a building housing the main concert hall, several smaller concert halls and rehearsal rooms, and connected it with a former 19th century orphanage which was restored with respect to the historic architecture (last picture). Now it's the most modern music school in Poland with excellent acoustic conditions.

Part of the complex of the Nuns of Visitation. The Part of the complex of the Nuns of Visitation. The first nuns came here from France where the order was established in the 17th century. They were invited by Queen of Poland Ludwika Maria Gonzaga who funded the convent. It took almost a century to complete it. The whole complex survived World War II almost untouched, and the convent still operates. Nowadays there are approximately 25 nuns living here. They are cloistered, meaning they do not interact with the outside world except in case of absolute necessity. This red roof house connects the convent with the church and it houses the Choir. It's the section within enclosure where the sisters pray and attend mass, and where they are separated from other people in the church.

Young Frederick Chopin played the church organ here in 1825-1826 🎶🎶🎶🎶

Inside the Church of the Immaculate Conception loc Inside the Church of the Immaculate Conception located in the Stara Ochota neighborhood. It's a significant project of Oskar Sosnowski from 1908, which paved his way to a great career. He became one of the leading architects in Poland, and a Professor at the Warsaw University of Technology in 1919-1939. He was implementing historical forms, in this case Romanesque ones, while using modern materials such as reinforced concrete. In September 1939, when the university was bombed by the Germans, Sosnowski was gravely injured while rescuing documentation about the historical buildings of Warsaw. This archive allowed Warsaw's Old Town to be reconstructed after World War II. His interest in Jewish culture led him to create a documentation of Polish wooden synagogues. They were entirely destroyed during the war, but at least they remain in documents, drawings and photographs.
